    100th Airbus brings AirAsia goodies to its passengers

    Petaling Jaya (The Star/ANN) - Malaysians can now fly to selected domestic and international cities from as low as 30 ringgit (US$10) one way in conjunction with AirAsia's "Celebrate our 100th Airbus Promotion".

    "Guests can travel to Hong Kong, Guilin, George Town, Langkawi and Johor Baru," said AirAsia's regional commercial head Kathleen Tan in a statement here yesterday. Other cities include Macau, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Sandakan, Bali, Phuket, Haadyai and Hanoi.

    AirAsia will also run a promotional offer to commemorate the 100th Airbus with all-in fares from 250 ringgit ($82) to Australia for destinations in Melbourne, Perth, Gold Coast and Sydney.

    It also offers tickets from 200 ringgit ($66) for Chengdu, Hangzhou and Tianjin in China - from 250 ringgit to Tokyo and Osaka, from 280 ringgit ($92) to Seoul and Taipei, and as low as RM550 to Christchurch.

    "The promotion period is available for booking beginning Feb 2 until 14 for the travel period between May 1 and June 30 this year via www.airasia.com," said Tan.

    Guests who book with AirAsia's global loyalty card, BIG, will be rewarded with 2,888 BIGGIES loyalty points for destinations in China, and 888 BIGGIES for the other cities featured in this promotion.

    "There will also no longer be processing fees from Feb 2 for guests who make payment with the BIG prepaid Visa card," said Tan, adding that they could sign up for the card at www.tune2big.com.
