Many child stars have fallen into some hole when puberty age begins, never to resurface again.
It was not the case with Aiza Seguerra who got past that difficult period alive as she reinvented herself into an acoustic artist. Her success is simply spectacular as she now celebrates her 25th year in showbiz with a concert at Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Sept. 28.
Care for her age? She's just 28, far from the usual looks and aura of showbiz achievers already marking their silver anniversary.
"I was prepared well for that awkward stage. I'm surrounded by people who helped me find my passion and potential," she said during her presscon for the concert billed "Bente Singko: Aiza Seguerra Anniversary Concert."
Friend and former "That's Entertainment" talent-turned-concert promoter Joed Serrano and his business associates are instrumental in making the big show a reality.
Her stellar guest roster includes Tito, Vic, and Joey, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera and The CompanY, rapper Gloc 9, band frontwoman Kooky Chua and singer Bayang Barrios are also in the lineup, as well as her fellow ASAP Sessionistas namely, Juris, Richard Poon, Princess, and Nyoy Volante. Reality TV-winner Krizza Neri whose debut album her Blackbird indie label produced will also be appearing.
The ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra is serving as back-up band, to be conducted by Gerard Salonga.
Interestingly, Aiza is not so much into big production numbers so expect the host of the party to make things more intimate. "I'm really not a big fan of big production numbers. Mas importante sa akin ang music quality at intimacy ng ambience," she noted.
