On the tragedy that struck Japan and Cagayan de Oro
Rene
I was in the office in Pasay when the big one hit Japan. Almost instantaneously, videos of the great quake and the killer tsunami flooded the internet. It was jaw dropping and amazing at the same time to see devastation of this magnitude, thousands of miles away, unfolding before your eyes just mere minutes after it happened. A display of nature's wrath and technology at its best.

I was inspired by how the Japanese people conducted themselves so honorably during the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis in their country.
Toting (Brgy. Balulang, CDO)
I was shocked when my dog woke me up last Dec 16, 2011 @ 11:45pm. When i stood up, the water was just almost knee-level. A few seconds I was struggling and swimming inside my house to get out. I was at the roof top under the heavy rain and strong wind. But thank God that im alive.

I was emotionally devastated seeing our fellow brothers and sisters in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan Cities on Cable TV when they lost their lives and everything they have owned especially their homes as well as their loved-ones in an instant out of the blue from the deadly typhoon Sendong a week before Christmas day. Tragedy struck us once again after what happened in Ormoc and Guinguinsaogon of Southern Leyte many years ago. This is a call of unity and peace among us to help each other make our land a better place to stay than quarreling over one’s selfish interest in National Television.

"I was stunned when I heard about the flood that struck CDO and Iligan. It's so rare that the area will experience such big flood...there response to the disaster shows how unprepared they are. Indeed, expect the unexpected. Nature will really get back on us."
The stories that makes us proud to be Filipinos
PHILIPPE
I was awed when Timothy Richard Tebow, a Filipino by birthright and a NFL Quarterback, announced the Tebow CURE Hospital of the Philippines, the first project of the partnership between the Tim Tebow Foundation and CURE!

I was relieved when the referee announced the final decision of the Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Maruez fight. This is the fight that brought so many questions on who really won the fight. The fight, that the camp of JMM wants another rematch....that decides Mayweather to fight MP because he thought that he could get Manny easily because of the outcome of the fight that Manny shows.
Mark Jason Bernadas Garcia
I was so elated when our very own, unequalled, Puerto Princesa Underground River made it to the New 7 Wonders of Nature, so very, very proud to be Pinoy!
Ranty
I was elated and proud when Charice makes waves as a singing sensation in the international arena. Shes a certified pride of the Philippines

I was so proud when our very own Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago was elected as judge in ICC! The very first woman Senator to be given such opportunity to represent the Philippines in the International Criminal Court...salute!
On politics and the government
Raul
I was very happy when the House of Representatives approved the Impeachment of CJ Corona. With the kind of CJ in our Supreme Court not only criminals will be more encouraged to commit more crimes but also victims of crimes because of the slow disposition of cases and corruption in court. Our Supreme Court is worst than most dreaded criminals because their victims are those who were already once victims of crimes.

I admired Ms. Leila De Lima for fighting what is right even if she broke the rules by not following the order of supreme court with regards to TRO. Now former president Ms. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is sentenced for what she have done.

I was so irated and at the same time threatened when China ignored the Philippine government's plea to postpone/reconsider the death penalties on some Filipinos accused of drug trafficking. China has grown really big this year and they won't be moving any step backward either in grabbing Spratly's Islands.
ROY
I was disappointed when the president was in some sort of taking/doing/influencing the powers of the three most respected bodies (Executive, Legislative and Judiciary).

I was so touched after hearing the 1st SONA of PNOY earlier this year. I realized his quietness but seriously working, after all. Working on accomplishing tasks that he promised to his people. What he needs now is our support!
And of course, there are some comments that always make us smile

I WAS two steps behind our Filipino athletes when they delegated our country to the 26th SEA Games however disheartened with the result of our 6th place finish because of primary reason – sports politics. – Very witty indeed!
