MANILA, Philippines - Some 200 police personnel from the Southern Police District (SPD) and members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) Tuesday participated in a blood donation activity held at the SPD headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
Supt. Jenny Tecson, chief of the SPD Public Information Office (PIO), said Senior Supt. Arrazad P. Subong, the acting SPD chief, personally led the bloodletting activity at the SPD Grandstand which has theme for this year: ''Dugong Pandugtong Buhay, Kapulisan Handang Mag-Alay.''
Tecson said that aside from police personnel and BPAT members, members of various non-government organizations (NGOs) also participated in the activity in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and Philippine Blood Bank.
Embattled Chief Justice Renato Corona has maintained he was falsely accused in his impeachment, as he lamented President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III's "hatred" against him.
