Brown says daughter doing better, asks for privacy

NEW YORK (AP) — Bobby Brown says daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing "much better" after being hospitalized following the death of her mother, Whitney Houston.

The 18-year-old woman was taken to a Los Angeles hospital Sunday after Houston's death the day before.

A source close to the family who spoke on condition of anonymity previously told The Associated Press she was treated and released for stress and anxiety.

In a statement Wednesday, Brown said the family is providing "love and support" to Bobbi Kristina and pleaded for privacy. He says she's still dealing with the tragedy and "would prefer to do it outside the public eye."

Bobbi Kristina is Houston's only child.

You guys are all horrid!! Regardless of what may have been their lives, they are still a family unit, above all fellow human beings. I hope none of you are ever met with such repulsive out lash

WOW! You guys all need prayer. It must be a lot easier to be cruel than to show compassion or to simply shut up if you have nothing positive to say. Sigh...; I wonder what your life is REALLY like.

Gee, Wand, that didn't sound very positive.

I've decided people are just down right mean when they can sit at their keyboard and be anonymous. Regardless of people's feelings for Bobby Brown or Whitney, they should at least have some compassion for their child (and yes I do think 18 is still pretty much a child for all of you who may want to debate whether 18 is a child or not).

How cruel can you people be? This is a young girl. She loves her dad no matter what he does. Stop judging because remember, every time you point your finger , you have three more pointing back at yourself.Knock it off! your not perfect either. How would you like the same back lash you are giving out? Grow up!

I wish that people would think more of their children than themself; here is a young girl now left with these memories for a lifetime; she has lived this her whole entire life and if anything comes out of this , it is that we all wish her the best in life, we cannot bring back her mother but now she can try to heal from a lifetime of living and being raised with addicts, she is so very young and this is one more event that her mother has inflicted on her; prayers to her, I truly hope she ends up okay and strong

Listen 1 in 10 people in the U.S. have the active disease..That's 30 million..Take away anybody under 10 and that percentage grows to approx 25%. Nobody asks for the disease. It is inherited from your family genes. Many in this country are "functioning alcoholics/drug addicts who would never admit being one(cuz of the stereotype thinking that comes with admission) and because on the outside they have job, house and money and their friends think they have their shyt together. These are the facts..studied and concluded by the top 5 medical associations in the U.S.

Treated yes..Do diabetics overcome or treat their disease?

Nice motorcycle. I don't buy into the excuse that drug addicts have a disease in the same sense as someone who gets cancer. I've known a few addicts and to me that's their great excuse for not owning up to their responsibility in the matter. Just not the same as my Dad dying of cancer.

Some of you People are just cruel. Whitney's death is not his fault and of course He would be there for "their" Daughter. Why wouldn't He?

One thing that is happening with Whitney's death is the many miscoceptions about the disease of addiction..might be explained better.1. addiction is an inherited gene.2. There is NO cure 3..Once you are an admitted drug addict/alcoholic you will always be that ..clean or not. 4. there is NO "I was" a drug addict or I am 'recovered or he/she is 'recovered" ..if you are clean from all mind altering substances then you are in "recovery" no matter how long you have been clean. 5.Alcohol IS a drug. 6. you CANNOT get off harder drugs and drink and call yourself "clean"..many addicts and friends of addicts think this. The disease of addiction can also manifest itself in other forms that aren't mind altering drugs..Gambling, Food, Bad Choice of partners, shopping, sex and many other things. 7. Relaspe is a process and starts long before you actually pick up a drug or drink.

Sad how much attention Whitney gets compared to virtually zero media coverage of troops deaths.
