Euro 2012 co-host nation Poland have been dealt a blow with the news that Lukasz Fabianski has been ruled out of the tournament after a recurrence of a shoulder injury, the Polish Football Association have confirmed.
The Arsenal No.2 picked up the knock in training prior to Franciszek Smuda's side's 1-0 friendly win over Slovakia on Saturday.
Fabianski, who was set to go into the European Championship as back-up to club team-mate Wojciech Szczesny, is expected to be replaced in the squad by Grzegorz Sandomierski.
However, Poland will be sweating on the fitness of their other goalkeeper, Przemyslaw Tyton, with the PSV shot-stopper also suffering with a niggling injury.
The host nation are in action again versus Andorra on June 2 before they kick off their Euro campaign against Greece on June 8.
