Starting on Monday, Brazil's biggest fashion week kicks off with names like Alexandre Herchovitch, Tufi Duek and Reinaldo Lourenco showing.
São Paulo Fashion Week
São Paulo, Brazil
Since its launch in 1996, São Paulo Fashion Week has developed into Latin America's most important fashion event, following on the heels of the smaller scale Fashion Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Some of the country's biggest labels will showcase their Spring 2013 lines, including Alexandre Herchcovitch, Gloria Coelho and Colcci. Transgender model Lea T., who recently made her first post-op runway appearance, has already been confirmed to walk in a series of shows.
London Collections: Men
With big name designers including Tom Ford and Christopher Bailey on the committee, June 15 sees the launch of the British capital's first dedicated menswear weekend. Expanding on the current one-day showcase tagged onto the end of London Fashion Week, it will showcase rising homegrown labels such as Christopher Raeburn and J.W. Anderson. Another new showcase, London Collections: Women will follow on June 18, allowing designers such as Matthew Williamson, Charlotte Olympia and Erdem to present their resort collections.
Pitti Pitti Uomo and Pitti W
International menswear trade fair Pitti Uomo runs in conjunction with the tenth edition of the Pitti W women's fashion fair in the Italian city of Florence. This year Pitti W counts London-based label Peter Pilotto as guest designer, with the label's designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos showcasing their pre-collection for Spring/Summer 2013. Past Pitti W guest brands include Rodarte, Proenza Schouler and Diane von Furstenberg.
Milan Menswear Fashion Week
After key trends including dandy and military emerged at last season's menswear fashion week shows in Milan, designer favorites including Prada, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana will return to the Italian fashion capital to showcase their Spring/Summer 2013 collections.
Paris Menswear Fashion Week
June 27-July 1
Following hot on the heels of Milan Menswear Fashion Week, the French capital's edition attracts some of the world's biggest labels including Christian Lacroix, Mugler and Hermès. This year will be no different, as big name creators such as Louis Vuitton and Lanvin present their Spring/Summer 2013 collections.
Haute Couture Fashion Week
This season's edition of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week looks set to be particularly poignant, with Atelier Versace announcing back in April that it will present a runway show at the Ritz Paris July 1 -- this was host to the late Gianni Versace's last collection in July 1997. Other big names set to showcase their latest couture collections include Valentino and Givenchy.
