German-born Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld has announced the opening of his first concept store in Paris, set to take place in February 2013.
Announced during Paris Fashion Week, the latest project from the famed designer of Chanel, Fendi and Chloé fame is a new concept store in the French capital. The Karl Lagerfeld concept store will host a selection of pieces from the designer's namesake label, Karl Lagerfeld Paris.
Alongside his main line will be books, accessories, and a range of limited-edition items from his numerous collaborations. These include tableware collections created with Swedish crystal maker Orrefors, luxury pens and lighters for S.T. Dupont, and the Karl Lagerfeld Diet Coke range.
Lagerfeld is used to linking up with so-called 'fast fashion,' having been the first of a series of major names to create capsule collections with Swedish retail giant H&M.
The first store will span two floors, at over 2,150-square feet, and will be located at 194 on Boulevard St-Germain, the famous Rive Gauche shopping location.
Karl Lagerfeld Paris has a production deal with Italian company Ittierre, which has also recently signed an agreement to release two new lines for French fashion house Guy Laroche, as well as producing clothes for British brand Aquascutum.
