Manila Bulletin - Thu, May 16, 2013Even as we focus on the "positive core" of our friends, we cannot close our eyes to their weaknesses. All of us are far from perfect. We do have our own warts. We have character defects. Moreover, we also have bad tendencies to which we occasionally - hopefully, not too frequently - succumb. In our friends' struggle to remove their defects and fill in the gaps of their personality, we too should be there for them: We also have to give them our encouragement and support.
