FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) — Medical transcription company MedQuist Holdings Inc. said Monday it named Roger Davenport to the positions of chairman and CEO, assuming roles previously held by two people.
Davenport has served as chief executive of Misys Healthcare, which specializes in health information technology. He replaces outgoing CEO Peter Masanotti and chairman Bob Aquilina. Aquilina will continue to serve as a board member and Masanotti will serve as a consultant to the company until Sept. 30.
Company shares fell 21 cents, or 1.57 percent, to close at $13.20 before the appointment was announced.
