More than 2,000 Afghans rally, denounce Pakistan

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — More than 2,000 Afghans are rallying on the last day of a Shiite Muslim holiday to mourn and denounce Pakistan for the deadly bombing at a shrine in Kabul that killed 56 and wounded more than 160 people.

The crowd gathered Friday on the west side of Kabul on the last day of Ashoura.

The holiday commemorates the death in the seventh century of Imam Hussein, the Prophet Muhammad's grandson. His death in a battle outside Karbala in Iraq sealed Islam's historical Sunni-Shiite split.

The protesters are denouncing Tuesday's suicide bombing in Kabul. It was the first major sectarian attack in Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban regime a decade ago.

Some of the speakers at the rally blamed neighboring Pakistan for the bombing.

More proof that Islam is about death and not a religion. Mohammand the butcher.

With all that money we spent on the Afghan military, wouldn't it be nifty if they went on the offensive, all by themselves against the Paki Miltary ans the insurgents? If for no other reason just to see if our money was well spent? If they got wiped out, then we could seek out those brainiacs in our government that suggested this program and make them publicly accountable, by setting them in the stocks in front of the Capital rotunda in mid winter.

Wow. Supposedly 2,000 people protesting. I wonder how many were paid off by the U.S. to protest Pakistan.

Pakistan is probably the dumbest country I've ever heard of. They contribute absolutely nothing of interest to humanity yet they're like a beyotch milking alimony. They think they are invincible yet, they're surrounded by neighbors who would bomb the crap out of them in a jiffy.

Well all you Obama haters yesterday criticized Clinton for meddeling in Putin's Russia yesterday because you think George Soros funded the protestors in Moscow or some such Rubbish. Well now that we're probably paying 2000 Afghanny's to protest against Packystan, that you say we should cut off aid to, now what do you say? Republicans, always wanting it both ways and from both ends!

Pakistan is surrounded by India, China, Afghanistan and Iran. They are at odds with India to the south and Afghanistan to the north. It seems to me that an agreement with the Indians would be to our favor. It is time to squeeze them like a grape.

if that happens, that will be the end of Pakistan. I don't think the human race would miss much with that so called loss.

It's about time for the Afghanis to figure out that their enemy isn't the USA, it's their next door neighbor, Pakistan.

You ARE a troll. If it wasn't for US, women still wouldn't be in school there. Only a caveman like you would demonstrate against that.

Pakistan and Iran are two countries the world would be better off without. Afghanistan should get into talks with India & Israel about making that happen. Remember: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
