Network Happy To Release Actress; Lian Aims To Save Marriage

This mestiza TV personality is not very well-liked by the executives of a network where she was formerly under contract. One high-profile executive told friends in a private dinner that they are super okay that their contract with her already expired. An exec reportedly said, "She is not a very nice person. We didn't have a nice time working with her. She is a bit arrogant we don't know why. She kept demanding things and it was not nice at all because she made all of us feel she was entitled to those. Maybe she acts like a diva because of someone she dated."

• A lot are noticing how lovestruck Aiza Seguerra is nowadays. Sources said the acoustic music star seems to be walking on air. Her lovelife is said to be in the upswing. Her friends say this is because "she is able to work closely with her lady love and spend practically all her time with her."

• Ricky Reyes' cancer-stricken wards at Child Haus are moving to a new home! Finally, Mother Ricky's fervent prayers have been answered. Hans Sy, son of SM's Henry Sy, gifted him with a seven-bedroom property in Quezon City, the new and permanent site of Child Haus from hereon, where the children will be transferring officially on Sept. 20. The blessing and inauguration happens on the same day. Guests expected to witness the meaningful transfer are Hans Sy, Henry Omaga Diaz, Korina Sanchez, Tates Gana, Cong. Linabelle Villarica. Mother Ricky has nothing but gratitude to the Sy family for this generous donation. We heard the property was bought using Hans Sy's personal money.

• The ones who received the most applause and (screams!) from the fans of Bench Universe denim and underwear fashion show were Coco Martin and "Walang Hanggan" stars Richard Gomez and Paolo Avelino.

• Director no. 1 has been badmouthing director no. 2. We just don't know whether director no. 2 knows about it. A source told us that director no. 1 openly tells other people that director no. 2 is grossly overrated and does not deserve the good package given to him/her by another network. We don't know why director no. 1 is passionately displeased with director no. 2.

Kuh Ledesma Revisits An Old Passion

After 40 years, the original diva Ms. Kuh ledesma goes back to a love she inevitably neglected when she got sidelined by singing - painting.

Last Thursday night, we went to her first-ever one-woman exhibit billed "Unexpected: Paintings by Kuh Ledesma" at the White Space in Makati and we witnessed how Kuh blew everyone away with the beauty and spectacle of her art.

Kuh says this event in her life is a "God thing." "I never thought I could go back to this love of mine after so many years of not doing it. At first I wanted to do just one piece and see if I can still do it. And it rekindled that passion from within me. God is truly great. He kept me inspired all over again," she told us.

The event, organized by her good friends Precy Florentino and Ida Henares, was a complete success.

Kuh's friends from in and around show business came in full force - those among we saw mingling and gushing about Kuh's unbridled talent were Arnell Ignacio, Rachel Alejandro, Cris Villonco and mom Monique, Zsa Zsa Padilla, among others.

We especially liked Kuh's Talahib series, particularly the huge silver and ash blue art piece. Many took interest in it, too. We will not be surprised if this art piece got sold that night to someone who can easily afford it.

To those who are interested, you can drop by Gallerie KuhL at #20 RO Santos, Mandaluyong or e-mail them at gallerieKuhL@gmail.com.

Lian Paz Said Paolo Gave No Reason For Their Separation

Former EB Babe Lian Paz, now allegedly the ex-wife of actor Paolo Contis, held a press conference recently where she confirmed her separation from her husband.

Lian, in tears, claimed that the most baffling thing about the break-up of her marriage was that she doesn't know the reason. During the press con, she said that Paolo never gave her any justification for what he was asking from her. She said Paolo just told her they should separate and that was it.

But a handful of those close to her revealed that Lian suspects there was a third party involved on the part of Paolo. However, Lian still hopes that Paolo will come to his senses and go back to their family.

Last we heard is that Paolo has left Lian and the kids in their home for good. To which some reporters say, "it's the same old story with Paolo. He did that before to his past girls."

Interestingly, Lian called for a press conference to confirm the issue about them. Her friends said, Lian hopes that by calling for this press conference, Paolo will realize his mistake.

We hope so, too.

Diana Zubiri Moves To ABS-CBN

Diana Zubiri has officially signed up with ABS-CBN and will soon be launched via a soap opera where she will co-star with no less than Gerald Anderson and Cristine Reyes.

If plans do not miscarry, Diana's soap might start shooting in November for a January, 2013 airing.

Diana and her manager, Jojo Gabinete, are very happy in ABS-CBN. They are under the wing of ABS CBN executive Deo Endrinal group, who handles all the primetime soaps of the network. Jojo and Deo share the same vision for Diana's career - where it should go and be cultivated.

Both have high hopes for Diana in ABS. "She is coming in fresh from a Best Actress win in the Young Critics Circle. It is time to exploit her acting talent to the fullest and show her audience a different facet to her onscreen persona," Deo said.

Soon, Diana will be seen in ABS-CBN's station ID (which thrills Diana to no end as this will be her very first time to appear in such) and will star in her very first episode on "Maalaala Mo Kaya" within the year. Do not be surprised to see Diana guesting on "Showtime" also anytime soon.

Diana said, "Marami po akong mga kaibigan sa ABS-CBN. Masayang masaya po ako na finally makakapag-work na ako with them. Pangarap ko rin po kasing mapanood sa TFC."

Once upon a time when she was just starting, Diana said she auditioned for Star Circle. "Sabi po ni Mr. M (Johnny Manahan, head of Star Magic) sa akin noon, tatawagan ako. Hinihintay ko pa po yung tawag niya," she said making us laugh.

Congratulations Diana!

A gnome grows in Chelsea - at the flower show, that is

By Paul Casciato LONDON (Reuters) - Some spectators at London's Chelsea Flower Show wouldn't be caught dead with one in the trunk of their Bentley, but garden gnomes have turned up at the show's 100th edition this year, for charity. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), which runs Chelsea in the grounds of the Christopher Wren-built Royal Hospital Chelsea, has lifted a ban on the ceramic figures with floppy hats and beards in order to raise funds for an RHS charity that supports the use of
