After Orlando Pirates’s hard fought 4-3 win over Platinum Stars, Julio Leal immediately declared he has enough experience to deal with the pressures that come with being in the hot seat.
Leal admits Pirates were not at their best against Dikwena on Wednesday night, but is quick to point out that their ability to come from behind makes them a dangerous outfit capable of turning the tables in their Caf Champions League match against Angolan champions Recreativo do Libolo next month.
“I do not feel pressure,” the Bucs coach told reporters.
“My job is to coach the players and if there is any pressure, the one thing I do is to use it to our advantage.
“This victory [over Platinum Stars] shows that we are working very hard and doing well despite the big challenge we face in terms of the number of games that we are playing within a very short time,” added Leal.
The Brazilian coach praised his team for winning the match after early setbacks.
“The players showed a lot of character. Luis [Boa Morte] played as a midfielder and this is not a position that he is used to, but I am very happy with his performance.
“We have depth in out team and we have shown this by winning,” said Leal.
