    Manila hostage tragedy: A year after

    On August 23, 2010 irate cop Rolando Mendoza held hostage a busload of foreign tourists as he demanded that he be returned to service. Negotiations were initially smooth and he released several hostages. Hours later, negotiations broke down. An attempt to save the hostages appeared futile, as people from all over the world watched everything unfold on live television. The stand-off lasted for 12 hours and left nine people, including Mendoza, dead.

      kaya nga tragedy eh lahat ng envolve sa situation na un ,gusto maayos ang mga nangyari sa pagkakataong un kaya lang Wala na sa katinuan ang pangunahing sangkot,nangyari ang di inaasahan.Chinese man o Pilipino Charge sa experience nalang next time kung may gagawa pa uli patayin na agad para wala na sisihan.

      This tragedy showed the inadequacies of the philippine police in handling such crisis situation. They should watch more hostage taking, search and rescue movies and learn from them. There are crimes today that were learned from the movies.

      policemen in uniform during a special operation? they should have worn their special camo's, not the daily blue. haba ng oras nila para magpalit ng gears, inabot nga ng gabi, ganun p rin ang suot. tsk tsk. operational readiness is a bruhaha.
