PAWS saves stranded pets
People weren't the only ones affected by widespread flooding in Metro Manila.
Pets needed rescue too, and volunteers from the Philippine Animal Welfare Society rushed to Marikina, Pasig, and Cainta to save them.
PAWS is an advocacy group dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and taking care of rescued pets.
During the floods, though, its volunteers decided to help pets and their owners find higher ground.
It also opened its animal shelter on Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City as an evacuation center for pets.
