FAIL!

Sobrang agree ako sa inyo. Sobrang daming magagaling na Pinoy graphic artists. (Ano, nasa Singapore na ba lahat sila?!) Dapat talga nagpa- contest sila! Sigh!

After seeing the logo this morning I was sneaking from my art director doing a logo for this campaign. Pdat hindi sila ng launch ng ganyan n logo tuloy parang hindi nila alam ung ginagawa nila sa first impression plng kala mo program ng Department of Health for kids who encourages sport then i check the logo again the kids were riding pala.. Ung logo ng Singapore for Tourism we like it here sa studio. Very modern and dignified. Tama si Sam-Sung sobrang daming magagaling n designers n na and2 sa Singapore even sa middle east lht ng mga Arabo thumbs up sa mga Pinoy.

Very poorly conceived and made. Is this the best that we can offer? There are good country brand design studios abroad that can be approached to help us design one for our tourism department! We must admit we are not good at this and we should consult help. Tourism is one aspect that needs a very keen attention to draw foreign tourists to visit our land.

There are excellent design studios and agencies here. I don't think lack of local talent and insight is the problem.

i agree. i thought the girl in the pic is a mermaid! oh my! (as seen from afar)

Simplicity is Beauty... but this one is not that appealing really. I think and believe that there are "creative studios" or agencies here in the Philippines which could aid the Government in its campaign in Tourism. We need not be thrifty on this one, since Tourism is one area where the government (I hope so) generates revenues.

Local tourism is economy-driven.. Good compensation means local tourism!
I prefer an internationally appealing slogan because this invites foreign travelers.. Their presence in here helps a lot.. From the transpo sector and services down to sari-sari businesses..
SO WHY NOT INVITE THEM ALL with an internationally appealing slogan rather than posting a tagalog one which has very limited in aspect comprehension worldwide...

For domestic travel campaign po ung logo na yan..
      • Kylotrek 11 months ago
Ar pointed out sayang ung campaign. They can think a better Idea like "Wow Philippines". Its like hitting two birds in one stone. Syang sa gastos na-stretch p sana ung potential ng campaign targeting locals and foreigners and even if sa local lang yan.. Man the logo???? By just looking at it kala mo program ng DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH for kids. This is not to lambast DOH but from "Pilipinas kay ganda" down to "Tara na Pilipinas" I think hindi tlg nila alam ang ginagawa nila. This issue must be raised across the nation. So lht my input dahil positioning n to ng Pilipinas both global and local market. Other countries p nga they conduct p competition for the logo with specific briefs. I think after a couple months they will change this again.

kung totoo maliwanag na panlalamang sa kapwa, panggugulang or if there is any appropriate word to it!!

I hope DOT invited the public to send or share slogan for this tourism campaign.perhaps they could create more appealing and very promising one... This is also okay.. but I hope that instead logo of the DOT was placed in the middle of Sun,,, they place the map of the Philippines since they are promoting the entire Philippines not the DOT itself..

guys sabihin ntin reason bat napakapangit ng logo, bka di lng din maintindihan ng mga tagaDOT cnsabi ntin. here are my comments: hindi madefine ung tao dun sa sasakyan, poor color selection. ung sun dpat imoderm design na kc 2011 na, and ung words na 'pilipinas tara na' dpat ginawa na rin blue ung 'na' kung ung idea ng gumawa is kinuha ung color ng flag natin.
    • Mikeguia  •  11 months ago
    • Vincent  •  11 months ago
Ano ba yan >.< eh mas maganda pa dian yung ipinasa ko nung exhibit namin nung high school eh...nag-iisip ba mga tao sa DOT???...All who travels are middle class citizens..they should think of a logo which look like professional and had an international appeal..

? ? at ? pa..
    • Di Von  •  11 months ago
ang ganda na ng WOW Philippines, bakit pinalitan pa??!! mabuti sana kung mas maganda pa and ipinalit, eh napakapangit! sorry, pero pangit talaga! it's not internationally appealing as WOW Philippines!
    • Chard  •  11 months ago
Hey Dept. of Tourism, Im sure you pick the worst Logo and the worst slogan! not even the African drug dealer well be conveyed to come back for stupid business with that kind of Logo and slogan...Its simply crazy to attract tourist in Tagalog words...Change , Change change shame on you to degrade the creativity of Filipinos!
    • dondee  •  11 months ago
      epic fail!!
    • Gloria  •  11 months ago
mabuti pa nga talaga ang mag pacontest nalang ng design ng logo ng Pilipinas, pasintabi po, badoy talaga ang dating, ano ba yan, recognized na ang Pilipinas nowadays, bakit naman hindi makapalikha ng classic ang dating...napakarami namang mahuhusay na Pinoy artist, why can't the DOT create a good one????
    • pretzel pretzehL  •  11 months ago
    • nelson d  •  11 months ago
this comment from my aunt who comes to philippines every year:

I viewed the logo and it's juvenile! It doesn't reflect the rich pool of talents and grace Filipinos have. Something's gone wrong somewhere!

Utang na loob...palitan na yang DOT secretary na yan...put someone young and dynamic...for the second time around...PALPAK!

Sabi for local campaign...bakit kailangan paghiwalayin ang ad for local and foreign when you can target both class at the same time...

      nakaka-high blood much. Boooh!
    • Jov  •  11 months ago
