Members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) bring the casket out of Basilica Minore de Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia and load to the hearse during the State Funeral of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo in Naga City on Tuesday (August 28). President Aquino confers to the former DILG Chief the Philippine Legion of Honor with the Rank of Chief Commander (posthumous). The Philippine Legion of Honor is considered the highest award the President can bestow without the need for approval of Congress. Secretary Robredo is being conferred the Philippine Legion of Honor for life achievement as DILG Secretary and Naga City Mayor.
