MANILA, Philippines - The country's bachelor president is turning to a fortune teller on when he will finally tie the knot and experience marital bliss.
President Noynoy Aquino gave another tidbit about his personal life, including his plans to go on honeymoon in Tagaytay, when he attended the proclamation of the administration's local bets in Cavite province last Monday.
Aquino initially talked about the horrendous traffic conditions in Cavite and how some road projects, including the Light Rail Transit line 1 Cavite extension project and Daang Hari-South Luzon Expressway Link, will help improve the flow of vehicles, before becoming candid about his love life.
"Baka sakali makapag-asawa tayo sa pagdating ng panahon, baka mag-honeymoon sa Tagaytay, sana walang trapik (Maybe there will be no more traffic by the time I get married and go on a honeymoon to Tagaytay)," the President said, drawing cheers from the crowd.
"Tapos nito, maghahanap po ako ng manghuhula para malaman kung kailan iyon (After this, I will look for a fortune teller to know when will this happen)," the 52-year-old Chief Executive said.
Early this month, the President hinted he will be dateless this Christmas. He intends to take comfort in Filipino foods together with his nephews this holiday season.
