Rene Adler appears to be on the verge of leaving Bayer Leverkusen for Hamburg on a free transfer at the end of the season after having reached an agreement about a four-year deal with HSV, Kicker reports.
The 27-year-old shot stopper has an expiring contract at his current club and has no intention of signing an extension at Leverkusen after having lost his starting berth to Bernd Leno.
Hamburg has been linked with the Germany international for months now as the club is looking to replace Jaroslav Drobny between the sticks, and it appears to be a matter of time before Adler puts pen to paper.
Both parties have allegedly already agreed terms, and Adler is expected to sign his contract in the upcoming 48 hours.
Adler is a product of the Leverkusen youth academy and has made over 150 official appearances for the BayArena outfit.
