China Exim 6-month bills yield 1.81 pct -traders

SHANGHAI, Dec 22 - China Export-Import Bank auctioned 15 billion yuan of six-month bills in the interbank market on Tuesday at a yield of 1.81 percent, traders said.

The result was 23 basis points above Monday's indicative secondary market yield of 1.5818 percent bid for six-month central bank bills <CN6MFIX=R>, according to Reuters Reference Rates.

The 23 bps gap compares with only a tiny spread of about 3 bps between a sale of six-month bills by Exim in April and the indicative central bank bill yield with the same tenor, fuelling talk that the investment value in financial bonds may soon exceed that of central bank bills.
