MANILA, Philippines – The operation of Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 1 was temporarily disrupted this morning (Nov. 4) due to a switch malfunction, a spokesperson said.
Maria Kristina Cassion of the Light Rail Transit Authority-Public Relations Division said the problem was traced to LRT Line 1's Monumento station.
Though technical personnel managed to resume train's operation around 7:23 a.m., Cassion said troubleshooting is still ongoing.
"Train movement was slow due to manual cranking of switch," she said in a text message to philstar.com.
