12 Jul – As the Alien robot's latest franchise "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon" trumps North American box office by accumulating US $261 million thus far in its second week, the Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman and Kevin Spacey movie "Horrible Bosses" opens up at second place, while Kevin James' "The Zookeeper" takes the third spot on its opening for the weekend just gone (7-10 July), according to online tracker Box Office Mojo. Malaysia too registers "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon" at the top spot, as tickets for the movie was said to be selling fast. The latest Jim Carrey movie "Mr. Popper's Penguins" couldn't defeat the "Transformers" streak and opened up at second place, while the Shaheizy Sam starring "Sekali Lagi..." dropped from second to third place at the local box office.
For Singapore, "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon" remains at first place, while Tom Hanks' "Larry Crowne" opens up to the second spot as "Monte Carlo" helms the third place at the local box office.
Other new releases and sneak shows last week in Malaysia include "Murder 2", "Purple Love" and "Venghai".
