TWELVE out of the 132 local government units (LGUs) in Central Visayas have yet to finish their liquidation reports for the first tranche of the emergency cash aid under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) as of Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
Shalaine Lucero, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Central Visayas assistant director, said 120 LGUs have already completed their SAP liquidation. This accounts for a total of P4,983,325,150 liquidated SAP funds.
She added that 12 LGUs have submitted partial liquidation reports, which amounts to P420,941,040. She refused to name the 12 LGUs.
Meanwhile, Leah Quintana, DSWD-Central Visayas information officer, said in a virtual presser Wednesday morning, that the region currently has 237,546 wait-listed left-outs or those qualified low-income families who were not included during the first tranche.
A total of 273,083 members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in the region have also received the cash aid. This totaled to P1,269,835,950.
The agency also gave a total of 129,851 family food packs to 77 LGUs in the region. Of the number, 18 are from Bohol, 53 in Cebu, and six in Negros Oriental. (WBS)
