TWELVE of the 132 local government units (LGUs) in Central Visayas have yet to finish their liquidation reports for the first tranche of the emergency cash aid under the social amelioration program (SAP) as of Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
Shalaine Lucero, Department of Social Welfare and Development-Central Visayas (DSWD 7) assistant director, said 120 LGUs already completed their SAP liquidation, which accounts for a total of P4,983,325,150 in SAP funds.
Lucero, however, refused to name the 12 LGUs, which account for P420,941,040 in SAP funds.
In a virtual press conference Wednesday morning, Leah Quintana, DSWD 7 information officer, said the region currently has 237,546 wait-listed “left outs,” or those qualified low-income families who were not included during the first tranche.
A total of 273,083 members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in the region have also received of the cash aid, which amounted to P1,269,835,950.
The agency also gave a total of 129,851 family food packs to 77 LGUs in the region. / WBS
