Drug suspects caught in the act of using drugs

MANILA, Philippines — Two drug suspects were caught in the act of using alleged illegal drugs in Barangay Pag-asa, Binangonan, Rizal.

The suspects were identified as Marc Adrian Lipio, 26, and Narl Jay Fernandes, 24.

Two sachets of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia were confiscated by the authorities in the operation.

“Yung ating mga tao, may mga impormante kasi kami — mga concerned citizen na nagsabi na mayroon daw na naggagamitan ng shabu. Ayun, kayo naman nakakita kanina. Inamin naman mismo nung dalawa na talagang gumagamit sila. At yung nakuha sa kanila, kabibili lang daw nila,” said Binangonan police chief PSupt. Eduardo Deluna Balita.

(Our informants, they are concerned citizens who told us about these shabu drug users.  As you have seen earlier, the two admitted to using illegal drugs.  The drugs that were confiscated from them were newly bought.

Based on the investigation, a drug dealer alias George sold drugs to the suspects.

The two admitted to possessing the seized drugs.

“Opo. Minsan na nga lang. Wala po eh. Natyempohan e,” said Lipio.

(Yes, but we only use it sometimes. It was bad timing.)

The two will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — UNTV News & Rescue
