2 injured in motorcycle collision in Cebu City mountain barangay

TWO men were hurt after their motorcycles collided in Sitio Ibabao, Barangay Adlaon, Cebu City, on Saturday morning, November 5, 2022.

They were identified as Arnel Velasco Arcilla, a 46-year-old resident of Sitio Sayaw in the said barangay, and Jovencio Maglasang, a resident of Sitio Humay-Humay in Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.

Major Alvin Llamedo, chief of the Talamban Police Station, said the incident occurred around 10:40 a.m.

Llamedo said Arcilla was driving with Brixan Gariuos Beyate, a 33-year-old resident of Barangay Taptap, Cebu City, when they encountered Maglasang.

Based on their investigation, Arcilla was on his way to Taptap and was maneuvering a steep road when Maglasang, who was driving in the opposite direction, suddenly collided with the former.

The two drivers were thrown upon impact, while Beyate was unscathed.

Arcilla and Maglasang were rushed to the nearest hospital where they are recuperating from their injuries. (BBT / JKV)
