THE City of Naga in Cebu logged two more Covid-19 cases on Saturday, June 13, 2020, bringing the total number of cases in the city to eight.
Naga Mayor Kristine Vanessa Chiong revealed late Saturday that Patient No. 7, a 50-year-old male from Purok Danggit, Barangay Tuyan, was a City Hall employee.
She said as of 5:30 p.m. Saturday, the patient was at the Ligtas Covid-19 Quarantine Center in South Poblacion, awaiting transfer to a tertiary hospital because he was on oxygen.
Initial contact tracing revealed that the patient had gone to Carbon, Cebu City before manifesting symptoms, the mayor said.
On the other hand, Patient No. 8 is a 37-year-old female barangay health worker from Purok Riverside 1, Barangay Balirong.
She is the wife of Patient No. 5, that plumber working in a private hospital in Barangay Tuyan, Naga.
Their four children tested negative for the novel coronavirus. (CTL)
