2013 Stamps

MANILA Philippines --- The Philippine Postal Corporation is set to release a new line of "New Year 2013" stamps. It is classified as a "special" stamp of issue of two different designs with denominations of P10 and P30 and a quantity of 110,000 pieces only.

The upcoming years design is about the 6th animal occupying the Chinese zodiac, the Snake. It symbolizes traits such as being intelligent, philosophical, understanding and however materialistic.

It will be more "Special" because it will be released starting today that marks the date December 12, 2012 (12-12-12) which will be the last repetitive date for the century.

Stamps and Official First day covers will be available at the Postage and Philatelic Department, Liwasang Bonifacio, 1000 Manila and at all Regional Offices of the Philippine Postal Corporation. (Renz Emmanuel Raquion)
