CHRISTIAN Balunan, Reymart Tagacanao and RJ Siose of the Villamor Boxing Gym are all seeing action in “Kumong Bol-anon IV” this April 23, 2022 in Dauis, Bohol.

Balunan steps in the ring for his third pro fight against Jomari Ladera in a six-rounder.

Balunan has so far shown that he’s one of the most promising young pugs of famed Cebuano boxing trainer Edito Villamor after two impressive wins. The 22-year-old Consolacion, Cebu native dropped Roga Libres three times and knocked him out in the opening round of his pro debut in 2021. He followed up that win with a lopsided unanimous decision over Jelou Libres on March 7.

Ladera is eager to bounce back after losing his last fight against Ian Abne via a second round stoppage here in Cebu.

Balunan is 2-0 with a knockout, while Ladera is 2-2 with a knockout.

Tagacanao (1-0, 1 KO), on the other hand, takes on Miel Beronio.

Tagacanao, a native of Carcar City, Cebu made his pro debut last March 7 with a third round knockout of Henry Flor.

Meanwhile, former Palarong Pambansa gold medalist RJ Siose makes his pro debut against Francis Luis Lota.

“I expect them to give the Boholanos a good fight and that they will win impressively,” Villamor said of his three wards.

In the main event, Jake Amparo (7-3-1, 2 KOs) locks horns with Roldan Sasan (8-2, 3 KOs) for the vacant World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Asia Pacific minimumweight belt.

Also in the card, Antonio Seismundo (7-3, 7 KOs) slugs it out with John Lawrence Ordonio (7-2-1, 4 KOs), Johnriel Castino (9-1, 4 KOs) trades leathers with Remon Basas (6-6, 4 KOs), Angilou Dalogdog (3-0, 2 KOs) faces off with Jimpol Dignos (2-2, 1 KO), Shane Gentallan (2-0, 1 KO) is up against Darwin Boyones (3-2, 1 KO), Daniel Nicolas (3-0, 2 KOs) is fighting Mark Anthony Rotilles (2-8, 1 KO), Rey Dogelio (1-0, 1 KO) takes on Joselito Malinao (0-1), Rodel Fuentes (0-1) clashes with Mario Baja, Frances Damloan squares off with Zaire Espedilla and Alex del Rio (2-0, 2 KOs) faces off with Roga Libres (3-17).

Rodel Suganob and Ranelio Quizo were supposed to fight for the vacant WBF Asia Pacific super flyweight belt in the main event. However, the fight was cancelled because Suganob was reportedly advised to rest by his doctor after he recently got admitted to the hospital.
