35 barangays in Cebu City log zero active cases in past 10 days

THIRTY-FIVE of 80 barangays in Cebu City had reported no active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in the past 10 days.

Barangays that had no transmission from February 25 to March 6 included Agsungot, Binaliw, Budlaan, Busay, Day-as, Ermita, Guba, Kalubihan, Kamagayan, Lorega San Miguel, Lusaran, Mabini, Malubog, Pahina Central, Parian, Paril, San Roque, Santo Cruz, Sto. Niño, Sirao, Taptap, Tinago, Zapatera, Babag, Bonbon, Buot, Pahina San Nicolas, Pamutan, Pasil, Pung-ol Sibugay, San Nicolas, Sapangdaku, Sudlon 1, Tagbao and Toong.

The number of barangays in Cebu City with zero active cases has been increasing. The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) data showed no active cases in 26 barangays from February 21 to March 2.

The EOC reported eight barangays that had double-digit active cases from February 25 to March 6. These were Lahug, 16; Apas, 14; Capitol Site, 14; Guadalupe, 14; Camputhaw, 11; Mabolo, 11; Punta Princesa, 10; and Sambag 2, 10.

The remaining 37 barangays had single-digit active cases in the past 10 days. Of these barangays, 11 have one active case each: Tejero, Tabunan, T. Padilla, Suba, San Jose, San Antonio, Carreta, Calamba, Buhisan, Basak Pardo and Adlaon. (KAL)
