35 vehicles impounded in checkpoint

MORE than 30 vehicles have been impounded for various violations at a checkpoint manned by the personnel from the Highway Patrol Group 7, Cebu City Police Office, Land Transportation Office and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Central Visayas at the South Road Properties in Cebu City on Friday, July 22, 2023.

The activity is simultaneously held across the country.

As of 9 a.m. today, at least 10 four-wheeled vehicles and 25 motorcycles have already been impounded for different traffic violations, such as the installation of blinkers, strobe lights and improvised mufflers.

Some motorists were also issued citation tickets and TOP (temporary operator's permit) for lack of documents for their vehicles.

The number of traffic apprehension is expected to increase as the checkpoint is still ongoing until noon. (AYB, TPT)
