ANOTHER drug den was raided by the anti-narcotics group in Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022.

At least four persons were arrested during the operation, namely, alleged drug den operator Lourlie Gadiana, 27, a resident of the place, and three others -- Dennis Parami, 40, a construction worker; Rocky Lequin, 42, a laborer; and Macbet Jabedo, 40, e-bike driver -- who were caught in the act of sniffing the illegal substance.

The police confiscated from the suspects 12 sachets of shabu weighing around 11 grams with a street value of P74,000.

Leia Alcantara, information officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA 7), said they conducted a case buildup for a week prior to the raid after receiving information from their confidential informant.

Based on their monitoring, PDEA learned that Gadiana can dispose of around 25 to 30 grams of suspected every week.

The drug den in Duljo-Fatima was the second to be dismantled by PDEA 7 in Cebu City within this week.

The first was in Barangay Luz, where alleged drug den maintainer Russell Solis, 59, and grade 11 student Michael Baraga, 19, and fastfood service crew member John Philip Buñao, 29, were arrested on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

The suspects will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (AYB, TPT)
