FOUR Nigerian nationals accused of faking government-issued IDs and documents were nabbed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Central Visayas on Monday, June 13, 2022, after one of the suspect's Filipina girlfriend sought help from the agency.

NBI 7 supervising agent Arnel Pura told reporters on Tuesday, June 14, via a press conference that the Nigerian's girlfriend asked their help after she was forced to cooperate in faking government IDs and documents.

Pura stated that the IDs and documents were supposed to be used to open a bank account for money transfer scams through online.

Some of the documents confiscated were fake Philhealth IDs, Bureau of Internal Revenue tax IDs, and even NBI clearances. (HIC, TPT)
