FIVE new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases have been reported in Mandaue City on Sunday, June 7, 2020.
According to a Facebook post of the Mandaue City Public Information Office, the five new cases are from the community.
Patient MC (Mandaue City) 308 is a 64-year-old female and a resident of Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Tabok. She is currently admitted to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
Patient MC309 is a 36-year-old male from Pacencia Compound, Barangay Tipolo.
Patient MC310 is a 30-year-old male from Pacencia Compound, Barangay Tipolo.
Patient MC311 is a 27-year-old male from Pacencia Compound, Barangay Tipolo.
Patient MC312 is a 37-year-old female from Barangay Banilad.
Patient MC309, MC310, and MC311 are first-generation contact with MC212.
The three patients are currently under home isolation.
The personnel of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) has decontaminated the residence of the patients.
Also, two repeat swabs from patient MC15 and patient MC239 tested positive, which means they have not recovered from the disease.
Mandaue City has a total of 312 confirmed Covid-19 cases with 41 recoveries and seven deaths.
There are also 217 active cases at the Mandaue City Jail and 47 active cases in the community. (KFD)
