6 recover from Covid-19 in City of Naga, Cebu

SIX persons have recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the City of Naga, Cebu Saturday, June 27, 2020.

On its official Facebook page, City of Naga, Cebu Mayor Kristine Chiong confirmed that six Covid-19 patients have recovered and yielded negative results.

Of the six new recoveries, one is a resident of Purok 3, Uling, City of Naga, Cebu while the rest hail from Purok 3, Lower South, Tinaan, City of Naga, Cebu.

The six new recoveries were connected to the city's sixth patient (PN06), who passed away. Patient 12, who is still connected to PN06, still yielded a positive result after the repeat test.

Also, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center also informed the city that PN26, a health worker admitted to the said hospital has also recovered.

The mayor also announced one additional Covid-19 case in the city.

PN41 is a 19-year-old female residing in Purok Granada, Whiteland, Tuyan, City of Naga.

According to data released Saturday, PN41 has been residing Talisay City since the third week of May this year and has not returned to Naga ever since.

She recently gave birth at the Talisay District Hospital on June 25. On the same day, she was taken a swab sample for the RT-PCR test as part of hospital protocols. It was later found out that she was Covid-19-positive.

Upon initial contact tracing, her parents were her close contacts.

Starting Saturday evening, they will be confined in a city-managed isolation facility in Inoburan for the mandatory 14-day quarantine.

Meanwhile, her other six family members will be placed under mandatory 14-day home quarantine and will be monitored. (RDR)
