ABOUT 600 poll workers in Cebu Province who served during the recently concluded general elections have yet to claim their honararium and allowances.

Lawyer Jerome Brillantes, acting elections supervisor of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Cebu Provincial Office, told SunStar Cebu that about 95 percent or 11,400 poll workers were able to receive their honorarium, as of Thursday, May 27, 2022.

Brillantes said the province has more than 12,000 poll workers who served during the May 9 polls.

He said the distribution is expected to be completed by next week as it is done per local government unit.
