SEVEN employees of the Municipality of Samboan tested positive for Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, prompting town officials to temporarily close the town hall for four days starting on Monday, July 5, 2021.

However, the government transactions and services will continue at the Imeldo G. Gamallo Sr. Multipurpose Building with a skeletal team per department.

The temporary office will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

The public is urged to wear a mask and face shield at all times when transacting business with the local government.

Samboan Mayor Emerito Calderon Jr. said reopening the town hall to transactions would depend on the situation in the coming days.

Local health officials have completed the contact tracing and isolation of the affected employees and their close contacts. (REV, ANV)
