MANILA, Philippines — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is now monitoring the activities of 70 policemen involved in illegal activities.
NCRPO PDir. Oscar Albayalde said they have been receiving complaints against the 70 police officers.
“Yung isa ngang PO1 na nakapasok ay may pending criminal case tapos kilala pa siya na nagtutulak at kilala din na gumagamit ng shabu,” said the NCPO chief.
(A PO1 on the list has a pending criminal case and is also a known drug pusher and user of shabu.)
Albayalde also said that police personnel who are involved in illegal activities need to be dismissed from the service.
“May cases of extortion, kidnap for ransom. May kung ano ano pang illegal activity especially yung mga involved sa drugs,” said the police chief.
(Those with cases of extortion, kidnap for ransom and other illegal activities, especially the ones involved in drugs.)
The said police officers have ranks ranging from PO1 to SPO1 and are from the Manila Police District (MPD), Northern Police District (NPD) and Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
The NCRPO will also investigate the policeman who shot a 13-year-old boy in Tondo last Friday night in front of Vitas Slaughterhouse. — Lea Ylagan | UNTV News & Rescue
