8 Cebu grads in top 10 of Occupational Therapist Board Exam

SIX graduates from Cebu Doctors' University (CDU) and two from Southwestern University have made it to the top 10 in the Occupational Therapist Board Examination given this August.

Dominique Kyrstle Ong Borromeo of CDU placed second in the examination with a rating of 83.40 percent.

Tyra Marion Pitogon Amodia and Jerzl Anne Angchangco Awit, also from CDU, placed third and fifth, respectively, with ratings of 82.40 and 81.80 percent.

Placing sixth and eighth, respectively, are Eden Kessa Angelica Villamor Cornel (81.60 percent) and Jan Michelle Tan Abad (81.20 percent), both graduates of Southwestern University.

Ethel Grace Alkuino Aparri of CDU is in eight place with a rating of 81.20 percent.

In 10th place are Mary Elizabeth Breva Escario and Hanaru Ayllon Tan of CDU, who both got the rating of 80.80 percent.

Snagging the top spot of the said examination is Samantha Nicole Tongol Santiago of Angeles University Foundation with a rating of 84.40 percent.

Also in the top 10 are Ira Gabrielli Kempis Delos Reyes (4th, University of Santo Tomas, 82 percent), Glory May Velasquez Viray (4th, University of the Perpetual Help System Dalta-Las Pinas, 82 percent), Christopher Lat Añes (5th, University of Santo Tomas, 81.80 percent), and Tiara Gertrude Ojeda (5th, University of Santo Tomas, 81.80 percent).

Joining the top 10 are Karyll Marie Jimenez Valdepeñas (6th, University of Santo Tomas, 81.60 percent), Jaira Calayag Mitra (7th, University of Santo Tomas, 81.40 percent), Celeste Irah Manganar Ruzgal (8th, University of Santo Tomas, 81.20 percent), Nicholette Robin Ty Lim (9th, University of Santo Tomas, 81 percent), and Frances Kate Palatan Ballesta (10th, University of Santo Tomas, 80.80 percent).

The Professional Regulation Commission said 213 out of 298 examinees passed the examination given by the Board of Occupational Therapy in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Cebu this August. (JGS)
