The leadership of the Philippine National Police Academy has recommended the dismissal of nine cadets for their involvement in the mauling of upperclassmen inside school premises right after the graduation ceremony on March 21.
PNPA director PCSupt. Joseph Adnol said he personally signed the decision which was released on August 10.
The cadets were given 10 days or until August 22 to make their appeal.
Aside from the nine trainees, two cadets were suspended or turned back from 3rd year to 2nd year; 31 were given demerits and recommended for touring and confinement to barracks; while 2 cadets were acquitted of the charges against them.
In total, 42 cadets have been sanctioned for causing trouble inside the academy.
