LITO Adiwang looks to bounce back from a loss as he takes on Chinese grappler Hexigetu in the curtain raiser of ONE Championship–“Unbreakable” on Jan. 22, 2021 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
Adiwang of Team Lakay dropped his last fight, a split decision loss to Hiroshi Minowa on Nov. 13, 2020. Before the loss, Adiwang was riding a seven-fight winning streak that included wins in ONE Championship against Senzo Ikeda and Ponsiri Mitsatit.
Hexigetu, on the other hand, won his last three contests. He’s coming off a huge win over former ONE strawweight titleholder Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke on Oct. 9, 2020. He also won both of his fights in 2019 against Filipino Ramon Gonzalez and Ovais Shah.
Adiwang is 11-3 with 10 wins by either knockout or submission, while Hexigetu is 8-4 with four wins by submission. The show’s main event features a kickboxing title fight between ONE bantamweight kickboxing champion Alaverdi Ramazanov (65-5) against three-time Muay Thai world champion Captain Petchyindee Academy (140-40).
Japanese MMA legend Shinya Aoki (44-9) faces off with one-time world title challenger James Nakashima (12-1) in the show’s co-main feature.
In the undercard, Rade Opacic (18-3) squares off with Patrick Schmid (30-14) in a kickboxing match, Zabaztian Kadestam (12-5) locks horns with Gadzhimurad Abdulaev (4-0) and Meng Bo (15-5) trades strikes with Samara Santos (12-7-1). (EKA)
