Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala was ousted in the second leg of the ITF W15 Manacor after she got shut down by Swiss netter Ylena In-Albon, 0-6, 3-6, in the quarterfinals on Friday in Mallorca, Spain.
The 15-year old had trouble finding her rhythm in the first set where she was shut out by In-Albon, who is ranked 432nd in WTA Singles. The third-ranked Juniors player, though, tried to rally in the second set but In-Albon kept her momentum going to end the match in just an hour and 30 minutes.
Even though Eala was not able to replicate her championship form in the first leg wherein she toppled 28-year-old Spanish Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers in the finals to score her very first professional crown, she will get another chance when the third leg commences on February 1. (JNP)
