Dramatic pictures show an ambulance on its side after a crash at traffic lights.
The emergency response vehicle was left damaged after colliding with a car at a busy junction in Poole, Dorset, on Friday..
Police and fire crews were called to the scene of the collision on the A35 in Ashley Cross and road closures were put in place for the recovery of the vehicle and clean-up of the scene.
Pictures also showed members of the public climbing on top of the ambulance to try and help paramedics get out.
One witness said: "Serious RTA in Ashley Cross this afternoon. Hero of the day is the chap on top of the overturned ambulance."

No details have been released of any injuries.
Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 2.21pm on Friday, 9 July, of a collision involving a car and an ambulance on Commercial Road in Poole.
"It is reported that the ambulance was on its side.
"The road is currently closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
"The local authority has been requested to clear fluid in the road."
South Western Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
