3 Apr – Angel Locsin recently questioned the National Bureau of Investigation's plan to question Vico Sotto for a supposed rule violation instead of another politician for jeopardising public safety.
According to Inquirer, earlier it was reported that Sotto, the mayor of Pasig City has received an "invitation" from the NBI to come and explain his side after supposedly violating Republic Act 11469 or the Bayanihan to Heal As One Act by initially allowing tricycles to operate in the city to bring health workers to hospitals.
His decision came about during the suspension of public transportation following Luzon lockdown.
In response to the news, Locsin took to social media and wrote, "I am not trying to sound smart about the law, but in my opinion, Koko should be the one who's summoned and not Vico."
It is noted that Senator Koko Pimentel previously sparked anger among the public and health officials alike after he breached quarantine protocol by accompanying his pregnant wife to the Makati Medical Center before learning he was tested positive for COVID-19.
Her opinion was also echoed by Maris Racal, who tweeted, "Why didn't you call Senator Koko Pimentel instead?"
The Department of Justice recently stated that it would not conduct an investigation on Pimentel's actions in the meantime.
