MANILA, Philippines - Former onscreen partners Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez are reportedly set to reunite in a forthcoming movie as part of the former's recently-renewed three-year, four-movie deal with her current network ABS-CBN, and its film arm Star Cinema.
This is according to an article by ABS-CBNNews.com published on April 28, which has added that the reunion movie is now "in its planning stages at Star Cinema" and will be co-produced by Regal Films.
Both Locsin and Gutierrez got their breaks in 2002 through the now-defunct GMA-7 TV series, "Click," where they starred as fraternal twins. However, the following years saw them turn into one of the most bankable pairings of the Kapuso network, having starred in the hit TV series "Mulawin," and movies "Let the Love Begin," "Mulawin: The Movie," and "I Will Always Love You."
Locsin and Gutierrez appeared in their last movie together, "The Promise," in 2007, the same year she transferred to ABS-CBN. Gutierrez, meanwhile, remains under GMA-7's wing.
Still part of her three-year deal, Locsin will be starring in a separate film with Angelica Panganiban and yet another Kapuso actor, Dingdong Dantes.
More, Locsin will also be appearing in a movie with her fellow ABS-CBN contract stars Panganiban, Toni Gonzaga and Bea Alonzo; and with comedian-host Vhong Navarro "in another project."
For his part, Gutierrez is working on two TV projects, "Pinoy Adventure" and "Makapiling Kang Muli."
