Multiple structures caught on fire in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, on Thursday, August 6, following a group of fires caused by Hurricane Isaias earlier in the week, according to officials.
At least two homes were destroyed and one person was “seriously” injured by Thursday’s blaze, local media reported, citing officials. South Carolina’s Horry County Fire Rescue said its crews were called in to help fight blazes in North Carolina shortly after 1 am on Thursday.
Hurricane Isaias sparked several fires in Ocean Isle Beach on Monday night as it moved through the Carolinas.
