SHOP IT: Amazon, $32 (originally $36)
What is it?
As Rose Rich is an activewear and swimwear brand that creates products for women sizes 0-18, including their popular One Piece Swimsuit featuring a soft but colourful floral design.
The one piece is made from a “silky and buttery soft” nylon and spandex blend with tummy control and torso slimming ruching, designed to flatter and support women’s bodies. These quick-drying suits feature wire-free cups and adjustable straps for a secure fit on the bust as well as moderate bottom coverage.
What people are saying
Aside from making its way to the no. 2 spot on the Movers & Shakers list, As Rose Rich has earned an average 4.4-star rating based on more than 700 customer reviews. Amazon shoppers have called the One Piece Swimsuit a "flattering" and "elegant" choice for summer with reviews specifically commenting on the quality of the nylon and spandex blend fabric.
"I was really impressed by the quality and fit of this swimsuit," one shopper wrote. "I purchased an XXL, sizing up as I normally find swimsuits to fit too small but this is actually true to size and XL should fit perfectly. I’ll be trying it! The colour is vibrant and fabric is thick. For the price, you can’t go wrong! Also, it’s worth noting that the seller’s customer service is amazing, too."
"Awesome swimsuit. I hesitated to buy a swimsuit online as I find it difficult to find just the right one for my fuller figure (5'6", 180 lbs) but thought I'd give it a try and wow, was I pleasantly surprised," another wrote. "I ordered an XL and it fits perfectly, the material is super soft and the push-up bra is subtle but effective. Not sure how the soft material will stand up after a few dips in the sea but will let you know."
While a majority of reviews are positive, some shoppers have complained that the suits can run large and might not offer the most support for larger busts.
"A beautiful suit that just didn’t fit me well. I’m 5’7 and 160 lbs and bought a large," one shopper said. "I'm heavy chested and big bottomed with no waist, that being said, it fit perfectly on my lower half but no support in the chest. The straps are very loose; I was looking for a more modest suit."
Finding a bathing suit that suits your body and your budget can be difficult. Even with tons of reviews, what works for one person's body, might not work for everyone. As Rose Rich is an affordable option for summer that provides modest coverage and slimming panels, it may be ideal for women who might not be comfortable with some of the higher cuts and latest trends of swimwear that can leave little to the imagination — just make sure to check the sizing.
