Yahoo Sports is proud to release the Season 2 debut episode of “Ekeler’s Edge,” featuring Austin Ekeler, star running back for the Los Angeles Chargers.
The award-winning show is going to be bigger and better this football season thanks to the addition of a weekly podcast companion to the series. A new episode will drop every Wednesday during the NFL regular season as part of Yahoo’s acclaimed podcast series, the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast.
You will still be able to find the digital show you came to know last season across Yahoo Sports and on a variety of social channels.
If you’re new to the groundbreaking series, one of the top players in fantasy football — Ekeler had the second-most fantasy points among running backs in 2021 and is a first-round pick in 2022 drafts — will offer insight into each week’s matchups and his own fantasy prospects. Combining the inside perspective of a star like Ekeler along with new co-host and Yahoo Fantasy analyst Matt Harmon, they’ll cover the NFL like no other show can.
"It feels really great to be back with Yahoo Sports. There's so much passion in the fantasy community and I love being able to connect with fans to give them an inside look at fantasy that they're not going to find anywhere else," said Ekeler. "With some new and returning faces this season, I can't wait to help listeners craft their best lineups each week."
Ekeler and Harmon will conduct interviews with football stars and fantasy enthusiasts from all walks of life. Season 1 guests included Rob Gronkowski, Jerome Bettis, Rainn Wilson, Joel McHale, Travis Kelce and more.
Season 2 gets off to electric start
Star quarterback and Chargers teammate Justin Herbert sits in as the guest on the Season 2 premier, and there are sure to be more big names to come.
In episode one, Matt and Austin got together at the Los Angeles Chargers training facility to preview the upcoming fantasy season for all of the Chargers' playmakers. Tune in to find out which sleepers Ekeler (and Herbert) think will break out in fantasy this year.
We want to interact with you
Ekeler and Harmon will also host multiple live conversations during the season to answer fantasy players’ and NFL fans' most burning questions. The programming will co-stream across Yahoo Sports as well as its associated social platforms including TikTok and Ekeler’s channels — featuring his popular Twitch channel — to reach his dedicated fantasy fans.
