Australian Cricketers Halt Training to Watch Starc Brother's Olympic High Jump Final

Training halted for Australia’s cricket team in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on August 1, as fast bowler Mitchell Starc and his fellow players stopped to watch his brother Brandon compete in the men’s Olympic high jump final.

“The Aussie Olympic spirit reached Dhaka in Bangladesh last night, with our Aussie men following every moment” a Cricket Australia post read.

Brandon Starc threatened for a medal but ended fifth after failing in one attempt at 2.37 and twice at 2.39, in a bid to overcome Mutaz Essa Barshim of Qatar and Italy’s Gianmarco Tamberi, who opted to share gold. Credit: cricket.com.au via Storyful
