Bada, Ungos top Ironkids PH race

DARELL Bada and Adrian Ungos topped the 13-14 years old division in the Ironkids Philippines race on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Mactan Newtown in Lapu-Lapu City.

Bada was way ahead of the rest of the competition with a 33:22 finish. Carron Canas finished second with 34:09, while Connor Hodges was third with 35:13.

Bada was trailing Canas after a strong performance in the swim and the bike leg of the race. Behind by nine minutes going into the last part of the race, Bada literally made a run for it and beat Canas in the run leg. He was ahead of Canas by a minute and three seconds in the run leg to win the gold in Boys 13-14 category.

Ungos, on the other hand, had a slow start in the swim part but dominated the rest of the race to win the Girl 13-14 division.

Ungos was behind Eleora Avanzado after the swim leg but made up for it in the bike part and run part of the race.

Maria Raagas finished third in the Girls 13-14 category.

On the other hand, Peter Del Rosario won the Boys 11-12 category, while Edel Edel Royeras ended up at second and Al Dustin Bersabal at third.

Christy Perez won the Girls 11-12 division. Yvaine Osais finished second and Fritzie Surima was third.

Joshua Marquez won the Boys 9-10 category, while Lauren Tan topped the Girls 9-10 division.

Meanwhile, Go4Less won the 11-14 years old relay after finishing the race with a time of 23:08. Tri ZJA finished second with 23:48 and TLTG Go For Gold ended up third with a time of 24:01.

Coco Running Team got the first and third place in the 6-7 years old relay after finishing with times of 15:00 and 16:37, respectively.

ASFFPI 1 finished second with 16:14.
